I don’t wear suits very often. It isn’t required of me unless I’m at a wedding or holiday – and because of that, I tend to not incorporate them into my daily wardrobe too often. I 100% agree with the cliché that when you dress better you feel and perform better. My buddies and I used to dress up for test days in college. So I’m going to be rocking a suit more often in 2018.I’m showcasing how to style the same suit, two different ways. Suits can be fun & flexible, dressed up & made more casual. The suit is from one of my favorite Paris-based brands, Sandro. Also, THIS SUIT IS NOW ON SALE! .. 40% off to be exact. So just wanted to put that out there. This suit is their Super 120s Wool Suit. It features a slim fit with a trim lapel and buttoned cuffs. It’s a really unique indigo suit, as from afar it appears blue, but on closer inspection, you can notice the slight teal in the detailing. <Please note that on how the photographer edits, the suit appears to be two different colors.> This is a great everyday suit and a great standard blue suit to have in your arsenal for ‘suited situations’. I think a great black or charcoal suit, grey suit, and a blue suit should be the standards in your closest for any occasion. From there you can get into some more creative, seasonal or fashionable suits. To make this suit a bit more comfortable and applicable to my lifestyle, I made a few minor adjustments that took the ‘stiffness’ out of your typical suit. I removed the tie and traded out my leather shoes for a pair of white sneakers to create a casual suited look. I kept the top button on my shirt buttoned and could also achieve this look with a band/mandarin collared shirt. It’s playful and casual. This is also a great example of a look you can pull off in one day – go to work with a tie, bring some sneakers for after-work drinks or an event.
